In the Face of MS: Nicola Grant’s Story of Resilience
I’m Nicola Grant Sewell— a mother of courage, a migrant chasing better opportunities, and a woman who turned a diagnosis into a mission.
My journey began in Jamaica. Like many, I moved to Canada in search of something better — for myself and for my children. Life was challenging, but I was determined. I balanced motherhood and a professional career, navigating a new country with strength and grace. Then came the pandemic…
…and a diagnosis that changed everything: Multiple Sclerosis.
Suddenly, the body I relied on felt foreign. The pain, the fatigue, the fear — all arrived without warning. I was raising children alone, grieving the recent loss of my mother, and trying to make sense of a new, uncertain future.
But I made a choice.
I refused to let MS define me!

I began researching relentlessly. I explored natural remedies, anti-inflammatory nutrition, and holistic wellness. I focused on healing my body and mind — not just for me, but for my children, who watched me fight every day.
They gave me courage. I found strength I didn’t know I had. That journey inspired my book, In the Face of Multiple Sclerosis, a story of transformation, resilience, and reclaiming power in the midst of struggle. But more than a story — it’s a beacon for others walking a similar path.
Today, I’m building a community where no one has to face chronic illness alone. I’m sharing tools, resources, supplements, and most importantly — encouragement. My mission is to educate, uplift, and support those living with MS, autoimmune conditions, or simply feeling lost in the face of life’s challenges. I believe in small steps, sustainable change, and celebrating every little win. I believe in compassion, connection, and the power of shared experience.
This isn’t just my story. It’s a movement of hope, healing, and holistic living.
Welcome — you belong here.
